This morning I decided to try Adagio's Valentines. I'm not going to lie, I really wish the name of the tea was just Valentine. Having the name be plural just makes it sound weird to me. Anyway. Adagio describes this tea as "It deliciously combines the luxurious flavor of fresh-dipped chocolate-covered strawberries with the taste of premium Ceylon black tea." As a lover of all things chocolate and strawberry (also after the overwhelming yumminess that is HomuMado with its strawberry goodness), I was super stoked. Even more so after reading that it also contained not only rose petals but dark chocolate chips and cocoa nibs!
I was a little disappointed that I didn't see any of the chocolate chips or cocoa nibs in the tea that I scooped out. Don't let my lack of chocolate chips and cocoa nibs lead you to believe there was a lack of chocolate flavor, because there wasn't. I feel like the chocolate flavor overpowers the strawberry and rose. They seem almost like an afterthought. It's tasty, but I'd probably prefer it with some cream. When I get some cream, I'll add it and report back.

New Tea Arrival!
I'm so excited! My Adagio order came in while I was out of town at a belly dance festival. It wasn't a very large order, but I wanted to do some sampling. I've tried three of them so far. Obviously, I'm trying to find a good Earl Grey staple to keep on my tea shelf.
Hojicha - Grassy in a good way. It reminds me of the green tea with the toasted rice in it!
Jasmine Chun Hao - There's not as much flavor as I had hoped for. I followed the steeping instructions, and I'm just not getting the perfumey flavor everyone else has mentioned in the reviews. I like it, it's just rather delicate in flavor. Not sure I'd order it again.
Homumado - This tea is so very tasty! The floral notes aren't super perfumey when hot, and a little more so once it's cooled to room temp. The Earl Grey pops out on the end as a nice surprise. Totally drinkable with no sugar or cream.
